Your computer never completely shuts down when you close your laptop. It goes to "sleep", but it's still running in the background. Imagine if you never got a fresh "restart" and were constantly running. You'd probably be slow and not work right. 

 

We need to shut down or restart our computer regularly, a minimum of once a week.
