Congratulations Elmore Park Concert Band!

The Elmore Park Concert Band received a Superior rating composite score and a Superior rating in sightreading at the WTSBOA Concert Festival. Students performed two prepared songs for three judges on stage to receive the composite score. Students also had to sightread or perform a song they have never seen before for a judge and received a rating. Superiors are the highest ratings that you can receive at festival. Congratulations to the Concert Band on their wonderful performances and Superior ratings!

Solo & Ensemble Information and Ratings

Students performed a solo or ensemble for a judge to receive a rating on Saturday, February 27th at the West Tennessee School Orchestra and Band Association Solo & Ensemble. Superior ratings, the highest rating (I), earn a blue medal. Excellent ratings, the second highest rating (II), earn a red medal. The students will receive their medals at the Fine Arts Banquet in May. Congratulations to the Elmore Park Band students on their 30 superior ratings, 12 excellent ratings, and 3 good ratings.

Technology Spotlight: February

Students in Mrs. Woody's 6th grade science class have been busy reviewing for their unit test over the Sun, Earth, and Moon. While reviewing, students learned how to create animated GIFs of the moon phases, organize their information on a Pages poster, and narrate the diagrams of the moon phases, lunar and solar eclipses, and spring and neap tides.
