Complete the directions on the Keynote.

 

Make sure your keynote from last week has been submitted through CURVE. 

 

Remember the account ID for PLATO is BCS12 and your username/password is your 4-5 digit student id number. 

Complete the attached keynote to review all of our Inquiry/Technology standards! Some of the answers may be on your Q1 review keynote!

1. Complete your Ecosystems Test on PowerTest. 

2. Download the Atmosphere Vocabulary Intro keynote below.

3. Use Quizlet to complete the definitions on each slide and save this file to your Science folder.

4. You may play the games listed under Atmosphere and Weather at http://kwoodyscience.blogspot.com/p/helpful-websites-and-apps.html 

Objective: I can create a travel brochure on a chosen biome. 

• You just got hired by a travel agency! Your job is to create a travel brochure that attracts vacationers to a particular biome. Your brochure should include the following information: 
• Eye-Catching Title
• Images with captions
• Location of this biome
• Climate and Weather in the area
• Plant and Animal life and adaptations
• Packing list include appropriate attire for visiting this biome
• Attractions or places of interest in the area
• Best time to visit!

• 1. Use your notes or the textbook on the back shelf to define each vocabulary word on the attached keynote and add at least 1 example/picture on each slide. The first two slides have been completed for you.
• 2. Early finisher: Change fonts, colors, them and add effects, etc to personalize this presentation.

Use popplet.com to create a graphic organizer on the 8 forms of energy. For each form, you should list the definition and examples. You can change colors and add images if you want. See my example below for help! 

 

To save, click on the Settings gear, then export, export to pdf. Save the file as  your last name and Forms of Energy HW. (ex: WoodyFormsofEnergyHW)

 

If you do not have a laptop or access to internet at home, you should complete this on white paper. 

You will complete the attached "Energy Scoot" activity in class today, September 21st.
