It’s officially Socktober! If you know me much at all…then you already know I’m passionate about this annual project! All month long my students and myself will be gathering new socks. Last year, we gathered around 2,000 pairs (with the help of many) that went directly to the Memphis Union Mission and Moriah House. It was one of our biggest years ever and I know with teamwork we can have an even better year. Last year, was our first year including women and children socks…and we’re excited to support them again! This project not only helps people in need but also serves as a service project for my students. We are able to tie in many goals through this simple idea. Socks may seem simple but it can make a huge impact with someone’s dignity.
