Welcome!

Welcome to 8th Grade Language Arts! My name is Jennifer Swanner. So excited about another year at The Park! This will be year 16 for me!!!

I'm a born and raised Memphian and live right here in Bartlett. I have been happily married for 10 years, and we have an adventurous seven year old named Jeremiah. I graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a Biology degree. I later attended Christian Brothers University and received my Masters of Arts in Teaching focusing on middle grades. In 2013,  I received a  Masters of Science in Special Education focusing on Gifted, Talented, and Creative students from Arkansas State University. I taught for 11 years at Incarnation Catholic School in Collierville, TN. While there, I taught middle school Language Arts as well as K-8 Gifted. I love to read, craft, and enjoy life with my family in my free time.

George R.R. Martin wrote, "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only once." I'm looking forward to living those extra lives with you!
