WELCOME TO THE 2022-2023 GIRLS CLUB

CALLING ALL GIRLS!  
 
If you like making new friends, creating some cool crafts, being kind to others, volunteering to help out at school, and just trying to bring a little sunshine to EPMS, then this may be the club for you. $35.00 Club Dues (15.00 for shirt and $20.00 for craft supplies, pumpkins, flowers, cards, etc.)
 
We meet once a month, usually the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of the month. (Dates are listed below) We will meet before school from 8:00 to 8:45 in my classroom #312

Thursday, August 18

Interest meeting:  Meet and Greet

 

Thursday, September 8th-We will be meeting to discuss Go, Jim, Go!  The Girls Club will be selling hearts during homeroom.  All proceeds will go to LeBonheur Childrens Hospital.  Please turn in club fee of $35.00 today so I can order Girls' Club t-shirts.

 

Thursday, October 20th- We will be making Halloween pumpkins!  Bring a small pumpkin (real or fake, but not a mini) and I will have all the painting supplies!

 

Thursday, November 17th- Tye-dyeing our club t-shirts. For this project, we will be meeting in the Science Lab #1. Wear old clothes, because it does get messy!

 

Thursday, December 15th- We will make Christmas Cards for the Veterans at the Memphis VA Hospital. I will deliver them in December. We will also have a Christmas Breakfast Party and toy drive for Ronald McDonald house. Bring all donations to my classroom.

 

Thursday, January 12th- Knock out COLDS AND FLU. We use Clorox wipes and clean every desk in the building, and we are making friendship bracelets!

 

Thursday, February 9th- Make Valentine's cards for your loved one!

 

Thursday, March 23rd- Donating dog and cat food to the Bartlett Animal Shelter and donating old towels and blankets.

 

Thursday, March 30th- Making Easter Baskets and writing “We appreciate you” notes for faculty and office staff. 

 

Thursday, May 4th (we need to meet before Mother's Day, which is the 14th)-Flower pots for Mother's Day.

 

Tuesday, May 16th - We will take our annual field trip to O’Charleys in Bartlett. Girls will order from a menu, make polite conversation (no phones), and learn how to calculate a tip.  This is a great learning experience for the girls.
